Business Boot Camp (Baldwin County EDA)

This job fair will include a Business Boot Camp for those who are or want to be self-employed in their own business. From 2:00 – 3:00, Yolanda “Yo” Devine Johnson, Alabama Small Business Development Center Network, will lead participants through the steps from conception to opening a business in Baldwin County. Handouts and resources explaining the “how to’s” will be provided to attendees. Seminars are free and topics range from tips to manage your credit score, how to start a business and financing your small business. IRS will provide small business materials and publications for the workshop. No pre-registration is required.

Engage in Entrepreneurship

Women's Business Center of North Alabama (WBCNA) provides one-on-one personalized business coaching to individuals interested in starting or growing their small business. We help determine where you are, where you want to be and help you develop a plan to get there. The Engage program consists of three steps: Engage Orientation, Engage Assessment and One-on-One Business Coaching. IRS is partnering with the WBCNA to provide materials for this program.

NxLeveL for Business Start-ups Planning Series - Dothan & Enterprise

The NxLeveL for Business Start-ups course is a 9-session course designed for people who want to start a business and need the skills to test the feasibility of their business concept. Participants develop a business plan which acts as a blueprint for their start-up venture. IRS will provide small business materials and publications for the workshop. Seating is limited and reserved for the first 25 paid attendees. The series cost is $199.00; the fee includes all nine sessions, books and materials. Any fees are by the hosting organization and not the Internal Revenue Service.
