Case Resolution Program
The Nationwide Tax Forums offer tax professionals with unresolved client cases the opportunity to meet face to face with IRS representatives in the IRS Case Resolution Program. In 2018 case resolution staff worked on 872 cases with a resolution rate of 99 percent. A Forum attendee must bring a valid power of attorney for any case he or she wishes to resolve. Tax businesses are permitted one client case per Forum.
The Forums also feature a two-day expo with tax and financial businesses offering products, services and expertise designed with the tax professional in mind. The exhibit hall includes an IRS Booth where attendees can learn about various programs and interact with IRS staff.
This is the 29th year the IRS has hosted the Nationwide Tax Forums. For more information and to register online, visit www.irstaxforum.com.
