The birth date entered for the primary taxpayer (STEP 4) does not match IRS records.
Review the primary taxpayer's date of birth and make sure it is entered correctly.
If all of the following apply:
- You filed Married Filing Jointly
- You used a Self-Select PIN to sign your return
- The return does not include a combat zone indicator, special conditions, or a date of death
Then the primary taxpayer's date of birth must exactly match the date of birth on file with the IRS.
Check the date of birth entered on your return for the primary taxpayer.
If it is incorrect, update it to match IRS records and resubmit your return.
After making the correction, resubmit your return.
If you are making a payment, you may have to re-date Step 3, Payment Options.
