Error
The payment date you selected is after the date your return was filed.
Solution
Review the payment date you selected for your tax payment in Step 3, Payment Options.
If your return was filed after the due date, your payment must be scheduled for:
- The same date the return was received, or
- A date before the return was received
The payment date cannot be later than the filing date.
How to fix the error
- Change the payment date so it is on or before the date your return was filed, then
- Resubmit your return
