Taxpayers should check out IRS YouTube channels for helpful videos on a variety of tax topics

Taxpayers can subscribe to three different IRS YouTube channels to get tax information in a short and easy to understand format and see community updates from the agency.

Interactive Tax Assistant – This video introduces people to the Interactive Tax Assistant, an online tool that provides answers to several tax law questions specific to an individual's circumstances. Based on their input, the tool can determine if a person must file a tax return, their filing status, if they can claim a dependent, if the type of income they have is taxable, if they're eligible to claim a credit or if they can deduct expenses.

Tax Credits for Families – This video explains how eligible families claim various tax credits, such as the earned income tax credit, the child tax credit, and the child and dependent care credit.

Earned Income Tax Credit Can Put More Money in Your Pocket – This video explains how low to moderate income taxpayers, can see if they qualify for the earned income tax credit.

Why You Should Use Free File (obsolete) – This video shows taxpayers how they can use IRS Free File for both their federal and, if required, their state tax return.

Where's My Refund? (obsolete) – This video explains how taxpayers can check the status of their tax refund just 24 hours after they e-file their tax return.
