What are the signature requirements?

A principal officer, director, trustee, or other official who is authorized to sign for the organization must digitally sign Form 1023. Generally, a principal officer is the president, vice president, secretary or treasurer. To electronically sign Form 1023, the signer must check the "penalties of perjury" box in Part X and type his or her name on the line provided. The signature must be accompanied by the title or authority of the signer and the date.
