IRS has issued approximately 160 million Economic Impact Payments totaling over $270 billion. Under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, the IRS will continue issuing these payments during the remainder of 2020. You can check your payment status with Get My Payment here.

Use "Get My Payment" to:

  • Check your payment has been sent
  • Confirm your payment type: direct deposit or by mail

Provide Direct Deposit Information

In certain situations, Get My Payment will give you the option of providing your bank account information to receive your payment by direct deposit. For example, if your payment was sent by mail and the U.S. Post Office was unable to deliver it.

Use "Get My Payment" to enter your bank account information to get your payment through direct deposit.

You can check the status of your payment by using the Get My Payment application. You may see the message: “Payment Status Not Available” until the payment is scheduled to be issued. This response does not mean you’re not eligible or that you won’t receive a payment.

The Non-Filers: Enter Your Information Here tool is now closed. If you didn’t register to receive your payment you may be able to claim the Recovery Rebate Credit when you file a tax year 2020 Form 1040 or 1040 SR.
