SOI Tax Stats - Individual public-use microdata files

To provide improved public access to data for economic modeling and analysis, the Statistics of Income (SOI) Division is currently in the process of transitioning from the traditional, heavily redacted public-use files to a Synthetic Public-Use File (PUF), simulating real tax returns while eliminating the potential for re-identification of taxpayers. Thus, SOI’s Individual Public-Use Microdata Files for tax years 2012–2015 are no longer available.  An alternative, Synthetic Public Use File, will be available in the next few months with additional information forthcoming.
