Foreign Filer Transmitter Control Code (TCC) Registration

Join Stakeholder Liaison for a free, 75-minute training session hosted by Large Business & International (LB&I) Foreign Payments Practice on the new Foreign Filer Transmitter Control Code (TCC) Registration process. 

This session is open to all participants and will provide an overview of the secure web-based system that allows eligible foreign filers to obtain a TCC Global Intermediary Identification Number (TCC GIIN) and request a TCC required for electronic transmission of Forms 1042-S, certain Forms 1099, and other information returns through the International Data Exchange Service (IDES). 

After completing this session, you will be able to:

  • Understand TCC and set up a Foreign Filer TCC Account
  • Complete and submit registration for a TCC GIIN
  • Monitor updates for TCC GIIN approval
  • Request a TCC
  • Avoid common errors and prepare for IDES enrollment
