Solution
Review Form 8962 and your tax return.
On Form 8962, Part I, Line 1, you enter your family size.
This number must match the total number of people included in your household on your tax return, such as:
- Taxpayer
- Spouse (if filing jointly)
- Any dependents you claimed
How to fix the error
- Count the total number of people listed on your return.
- Make sure that number matches the family size entered on Form 8962, Part I, Line 1.
- Correct either Form 8962 or your return if the numbers do not match.
After making the correction, resubmit your return.
