New IRS online tool for reporting suspected tax-related illegal activities

IRS.gov/SubmitATip is new online reporting tool that allows you to report suspected tax fraud, scams, evasion, or other tax-related illegal activities confidentially using a smartphone, tablet, or computer.

This tool consolidates IRS fraud-reporting options into a centralized location. It uses clear prompts and a simplified reporting process to help ensure information is routed to the appropriate IRS office.

The tool is located on the IRS.gov homepage by selecting “Report Fraud” from the top navigation bar.

Please report suspected tax-related wrongdoing as soon as possible to help the IRS address it.
