2022 Maine Multilingual and Multicultural Working Together Conference

The primary focus of this meeting will be to share relevant priority messages and campaigns, and obtain feedback and issues from the multilingual community and organizations that serve the community. The goal is to provide the IRS with a better understanding of what needs to be done to encourage voluntary Federal tax compliance in the multi-lingual community and make it easier. This is an open forum to exchange ideas, gather information about emerging issues, manage relationships, and maintain a dialogue. Attendees will be asked to discuss barriers in working with the IRS. Sample questions may include: How do they feel most comfortable getting IRS related information? How do they interact with the IRS? How can the IRS improve relations with our multilingual taxpayers? Attendees can present feedback and raise concerns on IRS processes, practices, and procedures.
