The Standard Deduction you entered on Form 1040, line 12, does not match your other entries.
Solution
Enter the correct Standard Deduction or ensure your Schedule A is correct and attached to your return.
Enter the Standard Deduction for "Single or Married filing separately" on Form 1040, line 12, when your return has this information
- Your Filing status is single and
- You did not check the box "Someone can claim you as a dependent" and
- You did not check any "Age/Blindness" indicators and
- Schedule A is not attached to your return
If you previously added Schedule A, the schedule did not attach and transmit with your return.
Forms and schedules must be complete before they can attach and transmit with your return. If Schedule A does not print, it is not complete.
Make the correction(s) and resubmit.
If you are making a payment, you may have to re-date Step 3, Payment Options.
